June Newsletter

June

What lovely weather...

Hello all! Hope you are all making the most of this sunshine! Just so you know, we are still looking for School Reps. Remember, for the first 10 new email addresses, and every 20 after, you will receive a gift, such as

cinema tickets and shop vouchers.

The Plymouth Young Chamber has found that a few of our members have businesses going on. If you are one of these members – whether it’s mowing lawns, raising money for charity, washing cars or tutoring others – we want to know about it. We are going to create a Plymouth Young Chamber Directory that will get passed onto the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce and will help advertise your business!

Join our Facebook group here to stay up to see the Plymouth Young Chamber Promotional Video, and check out the blog for all previous newsletters if you’re new J

Robot Football at the University of Plymouth...

We will be meeting at the Smeaton Building on the University Campus (See the attachment for the map!) for a 4.15pm start. For many years the University of Plymouth were the UK national champions in the Mirosot league and they have now ventured into the bipedal league (where the robots walk), the first UK University to do so. The University of Plymouth competed and did well at the European championships in Germany and Austria last year.

Please RSVP if you are interested in coming, I need to know how many people are going to be there J

Members Meet…

The Members meet this month is going to be held at the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce again. It is a very central location and easy to find – just behind the Theatre Royal car park. Usual time of 4.15pm J There will be competitions with the chance to win cinema tickets and we are looking extend the PYC Committee, so if you want to be more involved and help organise events come along! See you then

Next Month…

July’s tour is of the Tamar Science Park where there will be a presentation of why the Park was built and its purpose. Then you will be shown some of the tenants of the Park – Should be another good one!
